In this podcast episode, Lisa Lewis speaks about nature-informed therapy versus trauma-informed therapy.
IN THIS PODCAST:
- What is trauma-informed therapy?
- What is nature-informed therapy?
- How these approaches complement one another
What is trauma-informed therapy?
Trauma-informed therapy is a therapeutic approach that recognizes the widespread impact of trauma on an individual’s life.
Additionally, trauma-informed therapy concerns itself with creating understanding and clarity around how past trauma can influence a person’s current behavior and emotions.
What is nature-informed therapy?
On the other hand, nature-informed therapy integrates the healing power and energy of nature into the therapeutic process.
It recognizes that nature can positively impact our well-being, and it incorporates natural elements and environment into the therapy sessions.
How these approaches complement one another
Trauma-informed therapy provides a framework for understanding and addressing trauma, while nature-informed therapy offers a unique environment for healing to take place.
